THIRST Children’s Ministry was conceived in obedience to Jesus’ commands in Matthew 19:14: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” and in Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Children’s worship service is a God-centered worship that closely mirrors our main worship service. Having their own worship service and being surrounded by other children worshipping God, the children will realize that worship is not what you do when you grow up; it is what you do now and every moment of your life in spirit and truth (John 4:23).
Children’s worship service begins promptly at 10:30am and lasts approximately forty-five minutes. Children are encouraged to come at least five minutes before the service to pray and prepare their hearts for worship. Older children are asked to sit with the younger children to model how to worship and provide guidance; they are also asked to serve as ushers and scripture readers. They learn to serve by serving, while all children will learn to worship by worshipping.
